Default Navarre Beach Fishing

Whats up guys, I'm going to Navarre Beach the middle of next month. For those who doesn't know where it is, its a tad bit closer to us than destin. Does anyone know some good public fishing spots in or around there? I don't want anything spectacular, even just some small pompano or bluefish is all I'm looking for. Also some good baits for bluefish? Last year, in Panama I used sabiki rigs (spelling??) and had a blast catch many species of small fish. Thanks for any info fellas. I plan on fishing the bay side and gulf side

sweet! I never would of thought to bring some gulp! I'm guessing the white color would be best? I didn't think you'd catch pompano on the gulp. I never see any big enough to eat them

yeah man u wont catch a whole bunch on gulps but that sbiki rig u talked about would prob. work better for pompano but a white /glow gulp shrimp worked slow in the surf will produce flounder even if u don't see any trust me they are there they hide really well in that clear water and sand

Dig yourself some sand fleas on the beach and use that for bait......its a no brainer........under a cork tho, or they'll dig back into the sand.......

dammit boy! didn't think they'd be that nice. I also thought they'd be a lot lighter in color. If i can catch that I'd be happy. I think i'll tie on the sabiki rig and tie my gulp on the bottom to use it as a weight to cast out the sabiki rig. Think that sounds like a plan.. what you say

Last time I was their (about 8 yrs ago) there was a pier at Navarre. I remember lots of folks free diving around there and spear fishing and people surf fishing right there.

Went with B-Stealth. Shoot him a PM. He'll know.

Anyway, we were farther out than we should have been floating on some rafts and drinking, and one of the divers tells us as we get back to shore that a shark was swimming around under us most of the time! That always freeks me out when I think about that.
