Default Is it just me?

Is it just me or is the trout bite in Dularge spectacular, unstoppable, best ever, can't be stopped, fantastic EVERY single day?

Numbers wise it is out producing any trout fishery in the state by a long shot.

I think the guides in that area, not to mention no names slam the internet with report after report. Other areas just as productive just not as many reports as the Dularge area.

There can be a tropical storm blowing through with 20 ft swells and it never fails there is a report of the trout bite on fire. Must be a millionaire guide service.

It actually really is pretty good down there. It's the only place I know of in the winter time that is that consistent. Those deep canals in the marsh are one stop shopping usually. And I've fished with the guide you are referring to also. He knows his stuff down there. He's fun to fish with but yeah, He's just very colorful with his reports but I like them.

Better than just a pic of some fish on a dock and a couple customers that aren't even smiling.

Maybe I'm wrong. Just seems like there is never a slow day down there which I find hard to believe, but again I could be wrong.

I will try to answer your question, Hopedale, Delacroix and Buras etc. have many established guides that have NO need to advertise. They are established and are booked up months and months in advance, no need to post on las or any other site. Not knocking on Dularge had a camp there and fished the area for over 12 years, great fishing area for numbers no doubt. The estuary located in the Hopedale to Pt. ala hache are just as good if not better than the Dularge area.

Impossible because all that area down there is getting DESTROYED by the Caernarvon Diversion. It has completely killed the fisheries there

Caernarvon does not effect that big of a area down there, Pointe a la hache and Hopedale have very little effect from Caernarvon. Big-C just posted his catch from the Pointe nothing but limits. Guide Charlie T down in Hopedale has a boat that has limited out like 20 trips in a row. Caernarvon has put a lot of freshwater around Reggio and Delarcorix but sports and guides have adjusted there fishing spot to get out of the river water.

The majority of the guides in the hopedale to pointe a la hache area tend to drop shrimp year round. Where the guys in dularge only go to live bait in the heat of summer.

Careful, may get used by Dularge for defamation.

The fishing down there is pretty ridiculous though, it gets to be like catching bream in a private pond
