Default Winter wahoo and Tuna

Well, its that time of year again.....no, not time to freeze, although we have had some of that going on too....but its Wahoo and Tuna time. And right on time, the bite has been good.

I drove down to Miami to pick up the Triple Threat the first week of February and had her back in time to fish our first trips of the year, Feb 7 and 8th.... Both days were solid fishing. Wahoo, blackfin tuna,
yellowfin tuna......Full box of fish both days. Capt Mitch also had good trips on the contender. He and Capt Matt boated a stud of a wahoo, the fish went 87.5 pounds, they are having a replica made of the stud now.

Capt Gray and Capt bubba put it on em pretty good last weekend. Saturday was pretty tough conditions and they still managed a full box and a stud yellowfin at 130 pounds. Sunday only 2 of the 4 were tough enough to go back out even when the seas were 2-3 for sunday, they said enough was enough. So the other two guys stayed back to relax at the Saltgrass lodge and their two buddies proceeded to put on a tuna class and caught their limit of yellowfin tuna. Great Catch guys.
