Default Surgery today.

Well, I survived what should be the last major surgery on my jaw today. 4hrs under the knife and I'm back at the hotel now. We will be heading back to Lake Charles tomorrow to recover. I can't wait to heal enough to get back out on the water. Hopefully the wind will stay down a few more days.

The first surgery was about 6 hours, the second was about 8.5hrs and the 3rd surgery was 12.5 hours. Today seemed short at only 4hrs. The Drs had to remove 1/2 of my lower jaw due to an infection that started inside the bone. The reconstruction is now complete and in about 4 months I will be able to get my teeth back.

Dang!!!!! That's a lot of surgery! I quit dipping about 3 weeks ago to avoid losing my jaw some day. Again speedy recovery to you.

I don't dip and the smoking stops next Tuesday. The Drs have said the infection had nothing to do with smoking and there were no tooth issues. The infection started deep in the bone with no apparent cause. I'm going to give Chantix a try, planning to see which one will kill me first, the smoking or the cure.

Good luck with quiting the smokes. I quit a few days after the tuna trip in feb.The big jacks and tuna made me realize how quick I got winded Smoked a few here and there while drinkin a few cold ones. Going on 5 weeks without a single one cold turkey. Not easy, but it is worth it.

im on day 4 dude, its not that bad, just stay occupied....i find that first thing in the morning, 430/5 am, i get up and eat a good breakfast. No coffee, and hit the gym. you should be medicated for recovery so that should help ease the temptations....

also see that you have an evo...take this oppurtunity to root it if you havent so already...not too hard, can be done in a day...

my evo running cyanogenMOD7

and my evo running MIUI(older version)
