Default marine boat speakers??

Whats the boards take on best brand of boat speakers? I know none of them will last too long....but figured I'd ask.

I had pioneer on old boat and they lasted a good while. Have sony on current boat and have already dry rotted and busted.

None last so I buy the cheap boss ones. They sound good enough and I usually get 2 or 3 years out of them.

i spray a light coat of silicone once a year on the whole speaker. i wouldnt do that on a expensive speaker but since these are 30 a pair it really dont matter. poly planar makes a good speaker. know some guys who have had them 5+ years no problems they seem to hold up well.

Alpines I've got 4 with a 300 watt amp on them and I can hear my music crystal clear over my 200 opti wide open. They're 3 years old and so far so good.
