Default Trip Tomorrow

Good Morning,
Taking a day off work to enjoy the holidays with my kids and both of them want to go fishing Trying to make a decision and just wanted some advice before I get loaded up and gone.
I know Dularge well but 2.5 hr drive isn't optimal with kids I and don't know what the water looks like. Does anyone have any news from Big Lake?
If Dularge is happening I'll gladly make the haul, just need some insight.

This will by 8yr girls first saltwater trip, not really looking to load the boat but let her catch as many a possible. My 5 year son understands "fishing" not catching..she doesn't.

Any news is appreciated.

Default Clean water but grind it out fishing

The water in Dularge has been pretty clean but there isn't a lot of shrimp so birds are not consistently working. We have been grinding it out mainly over reefs in the lakes.

Big Lake trout fishing has been pretty crappy. Reds aren't hard to catch. If you know Dularge, I would go there.
