I agree. I probably bring home more catfish than anyone I know, including hardheads, gafftops, channels, and flatheads. I find no shame in a mess of catfish. I just thought I'd point out the possibility of taking it that way.

Come to think of it, maybe I'll try and work in Hardhead into my boat's new name. It'd be a double entendre.

Workin' on it! I've got it in Mike's Marine in Lafayette right now being worked on getting power poles and an audio system put in, 3 more batteries, trolling motor and 3 Lowrance units adding a lot more weight. Now looking to speed it back up. To me it's the ultimate boat for around here.
Getting the lower unit worked on by Hydro Tec and got a faster prop. Might go for some high performance work to the engine, but will wait to get the lower unit back and get the boat in the water to see where I am before I get too crazy!

You mind posting a pic looking down on it so we can see what the inside layout looks like?

THIS IS NOT MY BOAT
but one just like it. This one has a cork rubber floor looks like carpet. But you can see the outlines of every compartment. The foot area around the console is tight. About the width of your foot. But your supposed to walk on the deck, not the bottom. Reason is aerodynamics and increased deck area and storage. Rod boxes are huge! Live wells are on sides of rear seat.

Are there any drawbacks from the cork?

I haven't looked into it too much, but all I know so far is it adds a good amount of weight. But I think it's great. See the longhorn logo? You can customize it.

Any reason you went with the safe-floor instead of a lighter weight option such as sea-deck? I've seen the safe floor it looks real nice.

That's not my boat. I was showing it as an example of the interior because it is the best pic I've come across that shows that view. I don't have a floor covering.
