Bring a boat that can get back up in the shallow water and brush. The current warmer daytime temps and the full moon on the 31st will trigger the females to move onto the beds.

my dad and his buddy caught 14 keepers sat after noon in the back of salters cove and turtle beach

all had eggs, but none of the eggs were mature, this weather this week will warm the water and move them onto beds next week for sure for the spawn

A few on beds, but 2admendment is right the full moon is the trigger, fish the three days before or the three days after. Heard some decent reports but not a lot of consistant size.

I got back from the south end of the lake and I fished saturday for 4 hours and had 5 keepers and lost one over seven. they are on the watermellon red trick worm wacky rigged. Everyone fishing at this time of the year needs to pay special attention to there landing net and weather or not you can get it out when you need it as I had stuffed three rod and reels on top of mine and lost a nice bass because of it. I had this one up and was trying to get my thumb in its mouth when the line broke. I touched the fish on the back when she turned to go to deeper water. What a screw up I am.

yoakum bay is the place to be.. 35 keepers in one day.. all females had eggs that were white or light yellow so they will stay on beds for a while longer. you have to get back in the thick grass later in the day
