Default B.A.S.S. bans Alabama rig from Elite Series

I feel like they did the right thing at that level of competition. I want to see how good these guys are.....not how easy they can make it for themselves.

I agree with them banning the Alabama rig, but was surprised about the double fluke rigs and drop shot with the jig. But I do agree with why they made that decision.

I'd like to see a bassmaster event where they can't use sonars, fishfinders, hydrowaves or anything letting them see into the water or electronic fish attracting machines during practice and event. only thing allowed is a topo map, boat, motor, a limit of 4 rods and reels on the boat, along with there baits, which have to be artificial. that would be a real challenge.

Limit of 4 rods does nothing, but yes, I'd like to see them fish no electronics.

I never heard of a hydrowave until yesterday and it sounds pretty gay. I mean what does it do besides put noises in the water that sounds like feeding fish.

I figured the hydrowave would've been banned before the bamarig.

The Lake Amistad event debuted the league's innovative format that allows anglers to compete with no limit on the number of legal fish they can catch and weigh.

Am i reading this right?? NO LIMIT... sooo you could weigh 100 5lbers?
