Yes, I did take Raymond up on his offer to help me out. For my cousin and I, he has been a very BIG help in getting our dogs to the level they're at today. I'm certainly no a professional but I will tell you this if you don't have the time to mess with them everyday I would just send him to a professional. The DVDs are a very big help but unless you really know what you are doing you will still have as Raymond says "Holes" in your program. Every dog is different so this is when experience comes in to play when you come across problems. Best of Luck to ya!!

Yeah I have been working with him as much as I can he's a year old black lab. He's a fast learner and very smart.

Are you still looking for a trainer? I've got a great suggestion for a local guy in the Leesville area. He and his wife have trained a bunch of folks dogs, got them to the HRCH Grand level. I'll be glad to pass along his contact information if you're interested.

Good luck!

Kayak, If you are looking for a trainer I would suggest Joe Perron in Pineville. Not to far from you. I breed labs and he is training one of my pups and taking him to the Grand in October. PM me for other trainers, but Joe is the best closest to you in my opionion.

I also trained my female on Waterdog book and DVD and I now have a phenominal hunting dog. Waterdog is old school but still is a great tool.

A guy named Otis Gordy and his wife trained my Lab. They are in Olla. They did a great job with him. If you want his number, let me know.
