It appears to be mallard/domestic hybrid or pure domestic. Yellow bill is kinda wierd, Cayuga is the variety. This species is allegedly the only domestic duck descended from the black duck and not the mallard.

Guy I have class with showed me that pic this morning. Said his brothers friend killed it. Didn't say where. Not saying that's true though....

It was killed in Bayou Penchant near Houma. On a buddy of mine's lease.

That duck has been all over the internet. It has been killed from Lacassine refuge, to Arkansas, to Texas, to Mississippi and on and on and on......... I can tell you that that is not the Sam's in Lake Charles.
