Default Shark Island Barriers

Has anyone seen the new barrier project being erected on the banks of Shark Island?

this is a very good project for conservation! happy that its gonna take place soon.
btw look at the sponsors of this program....Project sponsors
Federal: USDA Natural Resources
Conservation Service
State: Coastal Planning and
Restoration Authority

where is our beloved CCA? i'd want a play in this for sure if i was CCA!!! looks like they were too busy auctioning off ice chests and getting money for a party...

On March 22 they had 3 of the 4 projects erected. One was wood that looked like a long pier and the the others were concrete. I wish the concrete barriers were erected further away from the banks so that we could fish the banks for redfish. One option would be tying up the boat to the barrier using rubber fenders and then fishing from the top of the barrier as you would fish from a pier.
