Thanks for the replies, one more question I have some areas this season that a single net trap would work good but I see there are the square traps and the round ones that collapse. Anyone have any info/experience with these style of traps?

If you are going to recreational fish with drop nets, make some clips out of coat hangers and clip beef melt to the center so the crawfish don't walk off with the bait. The fish and artificial bait is normally used in wire traps.

The regular pillow looking traps but they are square on the bottom and fold over at the top where you empty the crawfish out .
