Cheap Home Surveillance Suggestions
I can't afford to take off of work and hide out to catch this POS, or drop big money on a surveillance system, so what is an affordable option? I was thinking a trail camera, but I don't know much about them. I would like to be able to check it from work, but that might be out of my price range. I can also break out the 270 and make sure the 3-wheeler never moves again, but I'm too cute to go to jail! Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Do all outdoor activities with a pistol visible in a holster. Like mowing, yard work, bbqing. People notice that stuff. Knowing a person is always armed is a good deterrent.

check at walmart. i got a system from the one in broussard for 230. it comes with two wireless cameras and receiver/dvr box. you can hook it up to the internet and watch it through your phone while your away. we have one at the big lake camp to see current conditions and one on the drive way. the cameras that it comes with are not that great and you prob couldn't pick out a face at more than 40 feet but it would give you and idea of whats going at your place. for 230 its a good deal. we got quoted 1700 just for hardware by a security company for the same setup.

If you want a trail cam, check the website camofire.com through out the day. They have em on there all the time for 50-60% off.

Now that's what I'm talkin about!! But with what it will cost me to screw everything down so he won't steal it, I'm better off with a camera.

Being in law enforcement I can offer you these suggestions:
1)- document 2)- document 3)- document 4)- document I think you get the idea. If you call the S.O. for a "trespass" complaint, then they will go talk to the guy, then he will deny it, then he gets pisssssed at you for calling the law, then he goes mess with your stuff...........you get the idea again! If you have several "cases" documented, then pursue charges throught he DA, he gets an arrest warrant, then gets picked up and has to make bond, then when he gets out comes back for more, it becomes a felony! I know this, small issues become big issues over time. Just as soon start now in getting your ducks in a row for what is to come later. |
