Default New Prop

Ok Guys..

I'm running a 14x19 solas prop on my F 250 4 stroke Yama .. On my 24' triton LTS Bayboat,, I was told by my mechanic the solas prop is a mid priced prop.. Nothing special....

Anybody running a performance prop they could recommend?? What other size and make prop are u 24' triton owners running..

I have no T- Top nor jack plate.. Was hoping for more lift, or better performance... I'm going to install a 8 or 10" offset Atlas Hydraulic jackplate as money allows??

Any recommendations for a better prop..

Thks

Biggun

What motor are you running? Speed vs RPM specs?

Solas is a very cheap slow prop. Look into mirage plus or tempest

The fastest prop I ever found when I owned a bay boat was a small hub quicksilver trophy.
We have never found Solas to be an even marginal prop in the performance department.

The mirage will carry a load better due to blade size but the tempest will be faster top end. I had an enertia on my triton and liked it a lot.

I no longer have the boat but i think it was a 19. I had an optimax not a yamaha so it may not be the same.

Head to beat a Mirage on a bay boat. Carries a load pretty good and not too bad on top end.

Don't trust us huh? Haha I talked to you today on the phone forgot your screen name didn't notice it was you till now. Mercury mirage, yamaha saltwater series, and the turbo offshore series are almost identical. The turbo is the best bang for your buck.

Oh by the way I'm running a triton 220 LTS.

EDIT. You need to find a prop with some bow lift.

Call Ken a PropGods and see what props he has for you to try out. I rented a test prop for like 35 bucks plus shipping.

Default New Prop

It's a 19 Enertia on a 225 Opti, jumps up real nice and has good top end for the hull weight and motor size.

I heard it will outrun a 240LTS with F250. That's just hear say though

Edit - meant to quote Bayou and Big

Gooh, what boat are you running? When I talked to Triton they recommended that prop but I was told it doesn't respond well to jack plates from the others that I've talked with.
