1,000 yards of dirt needed in Hackberry
My permit was approved today and I need approximately 1,000 yards of dirt to help backfill land that has eroded. If you know of someone that may be interested in the dirt work portion of this project please let me know. Also any cost per load information and or number of loads needed would be helpful. |

When will you be ready for the dirt?

I would say I am around 30 days out, that could move to 60 depending on how things go but 30 seems reasonable at this time.

Can you use concrete then cover with dirt? that's what we did on Toledo Bend and it worked well plus concrete was free.

I need someone to dig my pond! You can have all the dirt from it. It would be approximatley 1100 loads.

Yep, chicken island. I want to do some surf fishing around it.
No I have some big time erosion to deal with. |

If you were a hundred miles closer I'd take care of you. What grade of dirt are they making you put down? If they allow you to put whatever I would use a fat clay then a 3 inch layer of top soil if you want grass.

At some point, right now I am adding rocks to stop the erosion and backfilling my land. My neighbor next to me that started a thread about lights has completed his house. I still have my place in Angler Bay right now. |

If I'm not mistaken an 18 wheeler is 25 yards 1000/25 in 40 loads, with a dump truck about 13-14 yards 1000/13-14 is about 70-77 loads. |

Not yet, I have been beyond busy at work. I hope to get down there this weekend and try to talk to someone. I did not go last weekend at all.

Try Roy Bailey Construction. They have a buttload of dump trucks, they haul rock, shell and dirt everywhere.
