I have a 36 inch Lang that I picked up at a garage sale. Needs to be sand blasted. These are competition style reverse flow pits. Costs $1000+ new. Selling for $300 as that's what I paid. Will deliver up to 100 miles of new orleans.

Howell Industries in Sulphur builds a great pit. Can probably get it made out of whatever material you want.

Not made in La., but....
....the absolute best pit I have ever owned in my seven decades of breathing air, i.e. a Big Green Egg. Just my 2 cents worth.

Last I checked, Horizon had a retailer in Baton Rouge. Made of 1/4" oil pipe-one of the higher quality makers. Get ready to dig deep in your wallet.

I bought an old country smoker at academy. The one I bought was made of 1/8 & 3/16 steel. There is one made of 1/4" for $1000

X2 Academy Old Country Smoker. I bought the Wrangler Smoker about 4 years ago and it's been holding up very well. It's not a custom pit but for the price it's hard to beat. It weighs about 250lbs.
