Default Da Basin 2-2-13

Had to work this am but got off at noon hooked up and headed east. Launched off the levy south of ramah on the west side of the levy. Fished from 1ish till 5 when the skeeters almost carried me away.Water is still high but had decent clarity. Caught over 20 bass mostly on a wake bait custom made by ole salty himself. Would cast into some buck brush and they would slam it as it cleared the branches. Also caught a few on a black/blue lizard weightless. Most were 12-14inches 1 went 3lb.8oz,all released to fight another day. Nice afternoon trip only saw 1 other boat.

That's what I'm talking about! When you gonna let me tag along and learn how to run the basin? I got gas money and my other offer still stands.

With my work schedule it is very hard to make plans...all of my trips are last second hook up the boat and take off. Those kind of trips are usually the most productive for some reason.

Takes a while to figure out the basin...if you really want to learn alot start fishing the dog fight tournaments in henderson. I fished them for years learned more than I would ever on my own.

When the basin starts droppen......fish the run-outs. There are several down in that area. King's ditch is the biggest one.

I'm learning it. If I could fish more than twice a month I would learn it a little faster but that damn work keeps getting in the way. This year I'm figuring out them sacalait tho.

Come summer time get you two 12' bnm bucks jig poles. Rig it up with 4 1/16th oz jigs about 18-20" apart with different colors on each jighead. Troll under the interstate with a pole in each hand, thank me later.
