Default fishing 8-23

First time on site and plan on heading down to leevile on friday. Was wondering if anyone has been fishing along William canal. Any helpful information will be much appreciated.

I havent been in a while, but this time of year you usually need to fish the barrier islands and nearshore platforms in 25ft or less water. You may get lucky and find a few trout inside but they are usually undersized

head west towards the islands. It is not that far of a run.

If you're going to launch in Leeville go west into Timbalier Bay and then head south.

It might be a little rough the rest of the week terrebonne bay gets choppy with a 10+ wind. You might do better chasing reds in the marsh.
I'm going out of Cocodrie this weekend wind or not I need some time on the water.
