Brew Vermilion Bay

Has anyone been fishing the bay lately? Might have a little free time this weekend to finally get out and rip some lips. I heard of a few specks were cought out of the Boston Canal, I don't have the patients to just drop anchor and wait for that though. Anyway if anyone has heard of any reports, good or bad, from someone brave enough to face the wind, I would appreciate the info.

I haven't heard anything at all. Haven't been fishing in the bay in almost a year either, I'm having withdrawals.

HI Guys!!!

I went all the way to Verm.52, Tuesday . Its river water all the way. All though I got a report yesterday someone caught at E. I. 74 at night Wednesday night. The north wind may have pushed the dirty water out.

Who knows. But the Bay and Sw pass area are dirty.

Redfish and flounder in marsh island. Lake sand, bayou blanc, oyster lake. Just have to move around till you find em. You can always catch fish in marsh island no matter how bad the bay is. If you have a big enough boat I would fish the island.

I've been fishing the bay for the last 12 years and have never fished marsh island. Always fished on the west side of the bay and when I would get to the pass I would head south out to the gulf or stayed in the pass. If I get a chance to make it out on Sunday I will post a report to let you guys know the conditions.

Marsh island is a hidden jewel. Not many people fish it,but it always holds fish. I suggest you go with someone that knows the area,it gets shallow in spots. I learned the hard way.
