Prayers to all that are or have family, struggling with cancer. Trust in The Lord and lean upon Him. Some He chooses to heal, some not, it's His choice, not ours. No matter what happens, keep the faith!

Prayers for everyone - also for those without it, don't be too tough to go and get regular checkups and blood work. Doctors have some downfalls and a bad rap, but for preventative and early detection of poorly functioning organs they can't have a value placed on them!!
I've heard all my life "I don't need no doctor". Maybe not, until it's progressed then you will - that same doctor can identify long before your body starts telling you something us wrong... |

I had stage 4 cancer in 2003 and told I would die.
My surgery was at Ochsner Jefferson, LA where they cut my stomach open to clean out some huge tumors. I thought that was rough. Nope. Then I was told my chemo would be 1-1/2 years inpatient in Baton Rouge. I got down on the floor and cried it hard when it sinks in. Went to MD Anderson and I was very lucky to get the worlds leading expert on my cancer. I started my chemo in June of 2003 and my last chemo was the last day in August 2003 which I remember I wanted to go see the Texans play and the nurses were trying to lift my bags of chemo high to help drain quicker. Does it suck? Yup. Every time I had good news then bad news came which the ups and downs. Did I lay in my bed when I was inpatient thinking this sucks and being mad at the world. Yes Do you lose your hair? Yes all over even your eye lashes. Positive didn't have to shave or comb my hair. Did it suck waiting all day to go to a doctors appointment scheduled for 9 am. Yes happens all the time. Best one when something wrong they come peak in the room, go out, and then come back to peak in the room. You learn that means something wrong. It sucks, but 10 years ago this month I started Chemo and today I am in remission so I am lucky. Best thing is my chemo would have never been done in Baton Rouge if it wasn't for me due to it is very harsh. In 2009 my local doctor tried it on a teenager and he survived. To go through what I did and then come back to see someone being able to have my chemo done locally is priceless and worth every penny I spent. Best wishes for your loved one. |
