Default Big Lake Vacation?

I'm taking a vacation from work 5/23-6/1 and was thinking I'd be fishing in Lake P. but due to the bonne carre spillway being opened the saltwater and will be pushed out of the lake and I'm pretty sure its gonna effect everywhere else that is effected by the morganza spillway, the bonne carre or the mississippi river, so now my plans have changed I'm thinking about going over to the west side of the state to Big Lake, It would be my first time fishing there and I was wondering If anyone on here could help me out. I'm fishing out of a jon boat and know nothing other than what i read here!

It will if they open the morganza, and that is very possible. Terrebonne parish will get up to 5 foot of water.
