Had 4 limits last week at my camp on the river. I've NEVER caught trout in the Atchafalaya river before. And reds everywhere! Loving this!

At the mouth right at the opening to Log Island Bayou. I could see my camp. I know crazy! And I wasn't the only one. There where a lot of others catching too. The mullets are EVERYWHERE. The trout I caught where full of them.

I fished between the British and yellow bayou Sunday morning. Fished till 10, ended up with two reds. Was mostly targeting reds with a rat trap but worked the British for a few min for specs and nothing.

Headknocker

We had a great year on reds in that area. Why does it have to wait to get good during deer and duck season?
