Default 4-1 afternoon north big lake

Made an afternoon trip. Tried.fishing a couple spots that produced previously but no luck. Worked a couple sets of.birds with no luck. Then i saw what i thought were fish bustin on the.bank so broke out the topwater. Turned out to be a bunch of mullet going crazy. Well while i was there decided to make a few throws with a swimming mullet. First cast hooked up a flounder and lost him at the boat trying to untangle the net. So decided to fish stretch of bank and it payed off

Thats a good mess of fish! We seen bait everywhere we went yesterday afternoon. But couldnt find the fish. Water was pretty dirty down east bank.

Yea baot was everywhere. Soon as i left cal point i seen birds diving but decided to pass them up. Then seen another set and another but no fish. It was pure luck that i caught that speck. Water wasnt to bad up north. I could see bottom in about 4-5ft. New to fishing up north but i imagine that's pretty good.

The water was really pretty in a few places around Turners and while we were riding around the lake when it got glass there were tons of mullet out there.

In more than one spot we would see a single pelican diving and a gull would be hanging around it, the pelican would dive and the gull would land right beside it, was pretty cool watching em.
