For big lake general recommendations I would start out along the shore lines for Trout and Reds this time of year, I always make an appearance in Haymark, I have my honey holes, as well a few day boards across from Haymark. With the wind I have always caught fish drifting across the oysters reefs

Good Luck!

Haymark is along the east side of the Calcasieu river ship channel. It is located about 5 miles south of the I-210 bridge or 4 north of the Inter Coastal Water Way.

The Haymark area is a "horse shoe" cut from the old river bed. There is a ship loading dock on the south side. There is a big shallow marsh on the east side.
