Default Burns Point bad juju

Get to the launch yesterday morning and motor is slow to turn over. We tried everything to get the motor started switching batteries and tried jump starting it. Finally put the boat on the trailer and put my tail between my legs was coming home. Took the cover off and the starter was burnt to a crisp. Had the fishing bug so dropped the boat back down and headed down the bank with the troll motor to my little spot not but 200 yards from the launch and still caught some fish!
