I've been fishing the intracoastal by lacassine bayou for a few weeks. I've been doing the best in small bays that are 4 to 6 foot deep. On jugs

We fish jugs a lot near Houma and have been using cut up perch and doing pretty good lately. Also if you can catch a few small ones keep alive and hook em whole, we usually catch our biggest catfish with live perch.

Yea live perch catches big fish for sure. I've been putting a few live perch on lines but mostly using chicken hearts and ditch crawfish. Cut mullet works too

Hard to beat live bream to catch flatheads.....best eating cat that swims. Meat good no matter how big they get. Need to go set some lines in intracoastal city, all this rain will have em eating good.
