Just bring them skeletons.....we can bury them by the weirs!!!! When you coming???? And I'm not saying you have to have 100 rods...I'm saying don't raise a rod up and praise it if you only own one or two of them......

They are built on batson blanks in the 40 to 60 dollar price range although they would probably never tell you or anyone else that. I found out the hard way with comparisions on a rod wrack if you know what that is.

because the blank is 40 to 60
dollars in no way means that it is a cheap rod. the manufacturer has to make money somewhere the complete rod price is high because of their good warranty which in most cases is 50 dollar replacement or if found to be a faulty blank free.
They make several types.of rods and the new Hp Slam is a new blank that just came out the last few months....and I promise you they are not using a 60 blank on a HP slam Mag.... The Hp Lights Blank coast about 60 or so..... But the Mag Blanks are closer to 200 than 100

so what is their retail price for this "new" hp slam mag?

the new blanks with the 3m resin from north fork composites are only 120 and they are the highest line blanks out right now they are used on the kistler zbone.
for waterloo to sell a rod built on a 200 dollar blank the price would have to be upwards of 400 dollars. if any less and they warranty it once they lose money think about it.

Dude the st. Coix blanks are over 100 ..... There are several blanks that are over 100 bucks and there. Is one made by One of the custom rod makers in Texas that just the Blank was over 300 the rod cost 650 to 750... Can remember the name off hand but they were at the boat show

With TTL... Upper 30,s... For the 22ft...then the 34tfs are 40"s....

But I know he is not talking about a Hayine boat... Because it is compared to some of the best made boats in the south... Comes with a Lifetime warranty hull and 100% cover against wood rotten...... plus one of the thickest fiberglass hulls for the weight.... And there has been BlackJack owners trade in there b oat for a Haynie...which that shows a lot...because a Blake Jack is a damn good boat!!!! 6 so far that I know of have traded BJ in on a Haynie..... I'm sure there is more,,,,

thats not the point i am saying that waterloo is not building on 200 dollar blanks.

u just said a company built on a 300 dollar blank and the finished rod price was 650 to 750 so the waterloo on the 200 dollar blank would be 450 to 550?? depending on componets used

You build the boat the way you want it..... Its custom.... It come with trim tabs and Jack Plate standard....I built mine with an 8ft front deck that no other boat has.... I'm sure you can strip it down cheaper but I have a boat the way I wanted it ....you can do that for the price of a Hanyie boat

I'm not a castaway or ASR fan, I wouldn't spend the money on a waterloo, I gotta say I agree with salty if its an academy rod can't go wrong with a falcon!

W, when Nate, Bruce and I went fishing in Lake Pontchartrain, Dumas was swingin' 27" reds in the boat with that Skeleton. Nate broke his rod by grabbing the last 12" and trying to pick a fish straight up. Dumass move.

Lol. There goes my answer.

To contribute to the thread.

I love falcon rods for the price. But they stopped their in store return policy.

So now if I ever need another conventional rod. It will prolly be shimano. But I got more than I need now plus 2 fly rods. So I'm good
