i went yesterday. there were a few people catching crabs at concrete weir. we caught some shrimp at mud hole. not too many people catching anything. if you go make sure you're 100% legal because the game wardens were checking everyone

We were there about a week ago. Medium shrimp at best. Crabs were OK...nothing to brag about.

The 2013 spring inshore shrimp season is closed effectively last night around 8:45 PM. However, you still can catch some shrimp via cast net up to 10 lb limit.

The 2013 fall inshore shrimp season will open again sometime in mid-August or earlier. LWF will announce first week of August.

Not according to the LDWF website. Only an area in Terrebonne Parish is closed

Clarification from my mistake info slightly regarding the spring inshore shrimp season.

According to LDWF website, from Freshwater Bayou westward to the LA/TX state line will close tomorrow, July 9th at 6:00 AM

As for July 6th, from the Atchafalaya River Ship Channel at Eugene Island as delineated by the River Channel Buoy Line westward to the western shore of Freshwater Bayou is now CLOSED.

Sorry for my confusion! LDWF announced on July 2nd and check the LDWF website out below

Default now I'm really confused

these news releases seem to contradict themselves or am I reading them wrong? I had previously read the July 2nd press release and thought Rockyville would be closed (which still allows one to catch 10 lbs.), but the July 3rd release seems to say that only Terrebonne area was closing inside.

I think they confuse you on purpose....just like price lake road is closed, but there is no signs. Buddy of mine went not knowing along with several vehicles ahead of him. They all got tickets for trespassing,it was 30 mins after legal sunrise.

DWF has WAY too much power(and $$$)...and they know it. They act like they have no one to answer to.
