Anyone know if the campground near the jetties is back in operation?

It is open. So is the launch. But on a real low tide, you can't launch.
Power loading has made a hump right behind the launch.

Cameron Parish Police Jury accepted a proposal to allow the repairs to the Jetty Pier to be made by the company responsible for the damage, under the direction of Lonnie Harper and Associates.
Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Jones said this method will give quicker results, because the Parish will not have to go out for bid on the repairs, but will still be able to oversee the work.

Parish is getting ready to start construction on the Ferry boat launch.
Not sure if they did start or not yet.
If I can remember, I will make a call tomorrow and see.

I would like to launch there. Easier drive for me coming from my house compared to going to heberts.

As of two weeeks ago the launch at the ferry was still closed and it didnt look like anyone had started to work on it......we stayed right next door to the ferry and had to take the ferry and launch on the other side of the channel in Cameron.

I went to launch on the west side of the channel at the ferry on 6/15 and it was closed. I talked to the deck hand on the ferry and he said the ferry captains were getting mad because boats launching there were getting too close to the new barge ramp right there by the launch, so they had them close the launch till the old ferry comes back from dry dock which will be another 5 or 6 months. I had to take the ferry across to the east side and use the launch on Davis Rd just North of the jetties. Its a pain, but you can't do nothing about it.
