Default Kayak Fishing in Gulf Shores?

I have a couple trips planned to go to the beach with family in August. We'll be going to Gulf Shores. You guys know of any areas that might be worth going try out for some trout or reds? I plan on bringing the kayak so it's gotta be kind of close to a beach or launch. I've never fished Bama or Florida before.

Never fished GS but if make the run over to perdido key (30 min.) you fish the lagoon in seashore st park. They have a nice yak launch there. Lots of grass to fish on the south side bank of the lagoon it's a good paddle from the launch to the better fishing, so I would recommend driving as far down to where the no parking signs start. Drag your yak across the beach and fish there heading towards perdido pass.
