Cripley and I launched from Calc Pt around 6:30a and headed to Turner's. When we rounded the corner we were met with East winds 12-15 mph and some pretty dirty water. Water temp was around 58. We chunked the arsenal at them (Gulp, Soft Dine, Corky's, Top Water, etc) and tossed them in a variety of colors as well. Drifted for about 1.5 hours picking up only 1 rat red and then decided to head to the reserve to get out of the wind. Fished the banks up and down the reserve and picked up nada and water temp had reach 62 by this point. On the way out, we decided to fish the wier (I know some people don't think its fishing, but we did it) and caught 7-8 fish. Kept 4 for the dinner plate tonight and took it too the house. Wind was shifting to SE on the way out and picked up to 15-18 mph. Weatherman missed on the wind today as it was a challenge all day, but it beats being at the office or working on the honey-do list! Will take being on the water any day of the week. Hope others faired well out there! Tight Lines!
