Default how to take cover off of 2006 mercury optimax 115

I just bought this recently and i have a problem getting off the hood of the motor once you undo the latch in the back how do you get the hood off it wont let go in the back is there something i am missing ,

Never owned a merc but shouldn't their be two latches in the back and one in the front? Once you pop those lift straight up.

On my '07 Optimax 90 you have to pull up really hard. It is pretty snug on there.

one latch front one latch back...mine fits fairly tight too!!
