Default float pods

i would like to have some float pods made, and welded onto my boat. i went to southside welding, in lake charles, and he told me he didn't like fooling with those. he said if he did do it he was going to charge a lot. does anyone have any suggestions for this in southwest LA?

If it is a production boat, the transom will need to be beefed up a little.
Most custom boats have a lot thicker aluminum on them and probably won't need it.

Problem is, if it was built without them, no one who doesn't design them, or know a lot about them will want to hear all the *****ing if they don't work correctly.
