1986 merc.
she's old, but she's been pretty reliable. It could use some more power and hopefully will get that with some "fall cleaning" it's an 86 60 horse 2-stroke merc and i'm interested in getting serviced throughout including but not limited to oil, lower unit service, plugs, wires, carb setting? I'm sort of lost guys if it were a car I'm sure it wouldn't be an issue but having such good luck out of this rig I want to make sure it stays running good and lives a few more years. Once it does, i'm sure I can sway the kiddos to get on dad's side and hint around to momma that dad needs a newer boat ( my five year plan lol). looking for someone that knows older motors and possibly know anyone that can work on trim motors... I drowned mine this spring and had to hard wire the solenoids on a crappy switch for now, hey it works but it would be nice to use the factory controls. know someone? In the Lake Charles area... Thanks, Rob |

He rebuilt my engine for the previous owner. I don't think the problems I have are necessarily related to his work on the rebuild, but he removed the oil injection on my motor and that is what I have an issue with. I have concerns about the rebuild on my motor, specifically the compression, but the things on my oil injection I don't think are correct are common to all oil injected motors.
