One time I did a search on the internet trying to find out how old my model 12 was. Found some site where you type in the serial number and it gives you age. Mine was around the 1940's

No prob. Think mine was around 42 as well. Those guns can be highly colectible if in good condition. They usually have them at the gun shows regularly. Did that site give you a price? Just curious, would never sell mine due to family history.I want to say they sell for 500-600 at gun shows.

Went to the lake Charles gun show, they had a couple of them. Think they were around $600. Beautiful guns, got an old model 12 20 gauge, from 1927.
