I've always hunted in the intercostal marsh where the duck are always in yo face. No need for tight pattern and my teacher always told me to shoot IC and nothing else cuz that's what worked for him for 30yrs so I did and I can shoot very well with it. Now I hunt ricefields and notice further shots have to be made to kill birds because bubba in the next blind is gonna call em off you or sky bust at geese that are migrating if you don't hurry and finish your birds so I'll let a speck make 3passes if he don't finish and he comes directly over me in decent range I'm trying to make him meet my pattern. By the guys I'm leasing with this yr I've never hunted in the same lease with and seem to be considerate and knowledgable. We will see come November. Teal don't give a crap what's going on so I don't either I just try n decoy big flocks better than others by strategy

Rice field blinds are the only times I would use a Patternmaster. Will definitely help in those cases. Usually a lot longer 2nd and 3rd shots in rice fields/pit blinds.

Shot Briley's choke tubes for years awesome chokes and pattern steel shot really well, and there customer service is second to none, they are based out of Houston Texas and usually your choke will be here in two days. The have several models but have been shooting there duck choke which is basically a Light Modified choke. Learned about them severel years ago at the gun range in Lc, guys with 15,000 dollar pirazzia's and kriegoffs had Briley chokes in there guns. Figured if they was using them in there prize guns that there had to be something to them. Have been using them ever since, with good success. Make them for any guns. I use the ported chokes for less recoil and muzzle jump.
