Default Newbies Had a Blast

Brought some friends up to the river for a day of fishing. Weather was awesome and all had a good time. The river was up some and the bite wasn't as hot as it had been but with 8 people we picked up 130/140 fish. It was great because the 5 people that had never been before caught 80% of the fish. I fished mabe 15 minutes of the first 3 hours we were there. I was having fun watching them boat 2lb fish and enjoying the day

I know the pics don't show 130/140 fish. These are pics from two guys shares. I didn't keep a fish. I have cleaned enough in the past two weeks.

I'd say you have those whites figured out. Another impressive haul.

We use baby crawfish. Fish them about a foot off the bottom. Pretty much the basic bottom fishing rig for catfish just smaller scale. My favorite hook for whites is the 1/0 live croaker hook by eagle claw. Several other companies make a similar hook.

Have been blessed this year for sure man. All my friends put about 8lbs of fillets in the freezer each. I had so much fun watching them put fish in the boat. Gona take my dad this Saturday then call it good until next years spawn. 4 Saturdays in a row of 5 hours of driving is enough for me. I need to mow the yard at some point.lol
