Default Big Lake... The Perfect Storm

Me and Shaw braved the weather today on Big Lake, and so did the rest of the Saltycajun crew, Lavocat, and Will "e" Fish...

Myself and Kade Picked up 15 early on topwater, before all hell broke loose. Dodged hurricanes by running to a good Buddy's camp who allowed us to hide out under it.. Once the rain was over we hit the water again and managed to pick up 5 more trout on the way back in.

Very fun day. Lots of bait, birds working, and active trout. Had a buddy limit out under birds, we stayed on reefs all day.

Fish came off of Topwater, Backwater Stik baits, and Little Johns

Shaw will post pics im sure..

I agree them storms were UGLY! I had to duck in an empty boat slip at Dugas as the lightening was cracking and I could not see to run it was raining so hard. I made a promise with the man upstairs that if he let me get to Dugas that when he gave me a chance to point the BlackJack towards BowTie that I would not stop and fish. We both kept our promises. I had just located some fish and boated three when all hell broke lose. Well now we will have to see what the tropical storm does to the lake.
