Yea, for me I found the hand position was slightly different. But once you find that sweet spot it's easy to consistently break over.

I blow an old sure shot. Probably $20 or so but it does the job. Takes a lot of air to blow it though. I struggle with some of the others for that reason. I don't know how to blow soft into a call. lol Same reason I don't use single reed duck calls.

I believe you but I wonder why the acrylic sounds better.

I had the same experience with the Riceland Poly. I went from a chien caille/Olt/faulks to a Riceland Poly. The ends of the other calls were shaped differently and I had adjusted my hand positioning to that shape over the years.....Good or bad. Once I picked up the Poly everything was different. After having one for about 2 years now I find that less air, and less hand restriction actually works pretty good. I can actually work the call pretty good with one hand versus two for the other calls.

Based off of my experience I would go with Riceland if I was you. Good luck.

I use the second hand to make it like a megaphone. And then cover slightly to sound like multiple birds

I don't like the way the pitch sounds with one hand. I always use two hands. Put this way it's so easy to blow my buddy can do it with his nose.
