Default Gear for jettie trip BL?

Having a camp on the North end of the lake has kept us away from the South for the most part. Never really gone down to the jetties by boat and fished. I know there are large reds to be had there. If one were to go down there to just play and catch fish what would be some needed items. I've got a couple 3500 and 4000 class spinners all loaded with 30lb braid. That should be plenty for rod reel but what about bait and jig setup? typically live cut mullet under corks or drop shots or what. Just wanna let my boy get after some fish and looks like Friday might be the only day for it this coming weekend.

Any help appreciated.
