Default Friday Fog

Left out with GOTTOGO this morning headed to G/C but encountered fog in Creole. It lifted at the Mermentau bridge and we had smoove sailing to our jump off. Had ducks in the decoys at 6:13 but nothing at shooting time. 6:35 3 wood ducks decided to land right behind a high dolla decoy and GOTTOGO did not want to kill it, they fly away after several unsucessful shots. The morning was not looking good But, it all changed tem minutes later. Three wood ducks came in, two shots and all dead. Doubled on gadwalls, and cliped a BW to go with the GW and wood duck from early in the morning. Need two for the limit and my partner comes through on a pair of mallard hens to finish up the morning.

Where in gc you hunt? We hunt across from the catholic church on a private duck club, and we hunted the first 10 days of the season and ended up out of 2 blinds with a little over 400 birds killed. I hope the season stays like this. Well good luck to you.
