Default Toledo Bend 7/16/2016

We caught 6 this morning,1 this evening.
Only kept 3.
Two were 3 lb+. Not a big deal to some, but I'm a happy, simple sombeetch.

I ended up catching only one this morning. Only kept 4 total all weekend (obeying the size limit).
I don't really like cutting up 3 lbs and up, but I don't set the size limit.
Fri, Sat, and today were all high pressure, hot, "blue bird" days.
It's all good.

Caught one on a white buzzbait and the rest on a Zoom California 420 trick worm.

Looked like you were beating the banks yea? I haven't mastered the deep water fishing so just about every weekend I'll fish early early morning and late evening throwing top water or big worm.. Haven't scratched yet, always manage 1-5ish .. Hard to keep me away from throwing at fallen trees or grass

Nice. It can get tough this time of year during the day. Kept 10 Thursday, let 3 better fish go (4-5lbs). Kept 5 Friday, let 3 better ones go again. All at night.

I was beating all kinds of stuff. Banks, points, grass, grass lines, some deeper water that showed structure on the depth finder....
We did a lot of yard work, too.
