What part of the lake where the bigger fish caught?

If I remember correctly......last years winning fish came from along the ship channel.

more then likely they were caught on croaker and in the ship channel...

i know for sure i heard the 2 nd place team said they fished for croaker and used for bait.

Fun tournament!!!! Thanks to all CCA members hosting it. The turn-out was unreal, I have never seen that many boats at Calcasieu Point, and most importantly everything went safe and sound... I lucked up and got biggest trout of the hour and I think placed 12th or something.

Many of the best fisherman I know fished that day and it seems everyone got on some solid fish. THe schools we were on had to be straight out of the Gulf, they were CRUSHING top waters till noon(very unusual), and almost every fish came jumping out of the water when hooked--all good fish also
