Default New reel(e5 or e7)?

Looking at buying a new curado. Should I go with the e5 or e7? Going to put it on my topwater trout rod.

I would think the 5.8 to 1 is what you want for top water. It will keep you from retrieving it to fast. As for the curado it is also made by shimano just like the calais. I don't own the a curado but i have 3 chronarch and a calais and my nephew has a curado and they all cast like a dream. There is not a lot of difference between the reels.

There is no way in hell any Curado is on par with a Chronarch and, especially, a Calais. If there's no difference in the reels.....why would someone buy a Chronarch or Calais and pay 2-3 times the money?

I have no complaints with the two i've had. Had them for over two years and they cast well and have a good drag.

Default Why?

I tend to agree and disagree with many things stated here also. This is a site to share information and opinions I guess. Please explain why you do or don't like them. Saying that the diawa reels are junk with no explanations will not give you a lot of credibility. So what problems have you experienced with them?

One problem I have with the diawa is that it is not easy to disasemble for cleaning or adjustment.
