I was beginning to wonder if they ever would. I'm sure they had an interesting time trying to find it on the map.

I spelled it wrong, then was like "That just don't look right. Something's wrong." I don't like spelling things wrong...OCD...

The Park off 90A is in Sheridan TX. Kinda small but a nice place. Might want to check before tubing in the Guadalump in New Braunfels last I heard the city was trying to ban beer, Too many rowdy college types were trashing the place during the summer. not too cool for the little ones. Schlitterbahn may be a good time and its close to San antonio, Kids love Sea World.( no they dont rent fishing poles, done asked) if tubing is your thing try Gruene TX ( green) they got several place there that are family friendly. And one cool old dance hall.

I been stuck in this area too long. SK

Default Geyser Falls

Check this one out. We've been a couple times. Its located in Philadelphia, Mississippi and rivals all the others previously mentioned in this thread. It's not as big as Schlitterbaun but just as nice. The other nice thing is there are two Casinos (Silver Star and Golden Moon) located nearby and a beautiful golf course (The Dancing Rabbit). Check it out online. Good luck........http://www.geyserfalls.com/

the guadalump river. i couldnt think of the name but we used to have fun on that river. we stayed in the little camp houses where the river starts. water is crystal clear but cold. pretty sure we had hypothermia the whole trip but had to much fun to care.

The Hunt and Ingram areas have a lot of B&B type places going. Some really nice places but starting to get a bit too commercialised for me. The water there is cold enough to freeze your nads off ,but you can see 20ft down in places. We used to skim board down the Ingram dam, still got a few scars to show for it. They probably got it fenced off now. Too much liability.SK

A lot of the locals call it the Guadalump it is actually the Gaudalupe river ,easier to find on a map this way.

guadalupe river can be pretty dangerous to tube with small children. if your children are small i would rent a raft. also the comal is the river that runs by the water park it is nice and slow with 2 or 3 falls. but you can walk around if you want. we go every year. we have cousins that live there if you have any questions email me i will be happy to help

The one in Sulphur is a nice one for a little day trip. It's run by the city of Sulphur and is very inexpensive to get in ($5.00) for an adult. It's not big by any means and it only has two or three slides but it seems to be very well run, the food there is inexpensive and the my little kids seem to really like it. I think if your kids are older they might not be impressed, but for smaller children it's great. It's clean, there are a lot of tables and chairs available in sunny and shady areas and there are lots of lifeguards on duty. We like to take our kids there for a half day or so and they have lots of fun. Very few Obama supporters - funny though, the one I did see was asking us for a dollar to get some candy - imagine that!

Stop at any place along Hwy 171 just north on I-10 in Lake Charles and someone will come ask you the help to pay for something that they need......car is broken, out of gas.

But offer to go with them to get what they need and they usually leave.
