Anyone know if the landing has live bait yet?? Also, how is the water in Big Lake...........thanks

I think they have live bait....I saw some guys come out the bait room with buckets going to their boat!!! So I'm sure they do!!

what do you mean by "getting" we didnt buy any..Friday my dad and his boss are gunna use fingerlin mullets.

i chunkin sand eels and, secret bait (the one i murdered em on at the "hole")

heard they got a place that sells croaker along the ship channel around hackberry, anyone know about it????????

nope..i can catch you all the mullet(fingerlens)you want though..

we have a good friend who lives down in hackberry right over the bridge he has a lil shop right there that he dips his net down when tide is moving..maybe him?

spicers and dougas is only places i know..

we caught alot of croakers in turners bay, by the island in the bay, the one thats all alone in the bay, on dead shrimp on the bottom, hauled in alot of croakers and picked up nice reds and a few specks. Threw the croakers back though, didnt know they were good bait for specks, I DO NOW THOUGH !!!!

you can tear up the trout on croaker. smaller size croaker but they work!

they need to be smaller than what you catch on a hook and shrimp, you can use a sabiki rig tipped with tiny pieces of shrimp and catch the size you need, really need to drag a net for them or cast net.

i catch a few here and there in the cast net... about that size ??? 3-6" ??? and what about pogies??? i can catch them by the hundreds... what eats those besides hard heads ?

pogies are great baits for specks, during the summer you can murder the trout on the reefs with them, on the bottom or under a cork. they need a good oxygen system in the baitwell. The baitwell also needs to be round shape, no corners.

i'll buy one of the baitwells at academy, the 5 gallon bucket ones ... i threw my net 4 times on monday and had the net filled all 4 times with them... about 100 per time
