There will be a late fee of $10 for every day after Thursday. In other words, if I don't get it until Wednesday of next week.....you'll owe me $50.

I lightly rinse my reels after every trip.

About every 3 or 4 trips, i take the spool out and clean any dirt / grit with a kleenex or quitip and oil the bearings.

I have not taken the drag assembly off in about 2 years.....may need to do that sometime.

My reel is 6+ years old and still works very smooth.

I used a Citia (Sp) for a few cast last week. It had a little vibration while casting the line out and I did not think it was as smooth as my CU200BSF.

every reel i have gets washed with the water hose and dawn after saltwater use. from abu winches to penn 80's. once a year i take them home and break them down completely and grease. never have any problems. i use the penn grease. and for the baitcast i use the penn oil. i also replace the bearings in my penns every 5 years even if they are still good.

Fool you don't have to be afraid to

tearing into expensive reels
Just take the spool out and put a drop of oil on the bearings.

If you see any dirt or grit looking stuff.....clean it with a qtip or old tooth brush. Rubbing alcohol can be used for cleaning if needed.

Cleaning the drag system is a little more involved.....but fairly easy to do. Just be sure that when you take each piece off, you put then back just like they came off. Place the pieces on some paper in order that you take them off.....then just put them back the same way.
