Default Boga grips really worth it?

Are the true Boga grips reallly worth what they are asking for them? If i had one, it would mainly be to grip the fish, so the off brands would prolly be my best bet, but im just wondering why the bogas' are up there in price, but the off brands aren't.

any help?

I was wondering the same thing, I went and bought the el-cheap-o one at academy, has never let me down, I just gotta snag me one of those crab pot bouy's. I came close to letting it go over-board a few times.

Boga grips have pretty accurate scales and I'll put it to you this way I'll be passing my boga down to my son...They are built very well.

Fool for just grabing the fish...getcha a berkly or bass pro shops its all you need

Think they could land a 30 lb catfish? I thought about getting me one cause im tired of un hooking hooks from a damn net. I tried the rubber nets and they are a dream when it comes to hook entanglement. They just need to make a deeper rubber net cause the fish tend to bounce/flop themselves out..
