Default Big lake Saturday March 1st.

Planning on making a trip this Saturday if the weather stays like they're saying it's going to. Anybody have any tips or tricks for me?
I'll probably be by myself if anyone that knows a little would like to come along and maybe teach me a thing or two?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

If you are chasing specks, word on the street last weekend was Turner's Bay and Commissary Point. The guys who succeeded were there at sunrise having navigated through the fog. Lots of guys returned to Spicer's empty handed regarding specks, but reds were more plentiful. Weirs, weirs, weirs was the word. We don't chase the small stuff, but the guys who do were open with their trials and tribulations returning to the boat ramp.

Perfect then. I'll just go catch green trout instead.

Sounds like a fun trip anyway... when you head back to big lake... just look for schools of baitfish over oyster. Glass Minnow hatch is growing already and should be food size soon enough.. If you can find the glass minows and or mullet, then you'll likely find some fish.
